- Mel Hansen Added 2018-06-02★ ★ ★ ★ ★My daughter and I traveled from the States to Alberta to see some of its finest. We saw "The Spitfire Grill" at the Rosebud. Although, due to the size and proximity, we didn't expect much, the production was spectacular. I couldn't get enough of the three female leads singing together.
The whole community seems committed to the success of the Theater. We drove in from Calgary and it was well worth it. I would definitely return again if I am in the area. Thank you Alberta, for supporting enriching cultural experiences among such beautiful scenery. Being able to order bottles of wine instead of 1/2 or full litres of mediocre house wine would be a great improvement.
Dinner was quite good. It's a buffet meal, but better than what you are probably thinking when I said buffet. This may not be fair, but I was expecting more made-from-scratch fair with dinner (especially the desserts).
SPECIAL NOTE: you can send whatever you don't finish of a bottle of wine over to the theatre to drink during intermission. This was a God-send, as we ordered way to much wine, but it was perfect in-between acts. EDIT: This is no longer true, and is very lamentable.
